On Wednesday morning (13th), I will be meeting Bus Éireann’s Limerick Services Manager to discuss my research and recommendations for the 304/304A bus route.

I’ve had plenty of feedback so far, but the more the better. So, if you have any thoughts, experiences, or ideas to share for the route (or the 301 and other routes in Limerick), please let me know. Leave a comment below, or send me an email at breandan.macgabhann@greenparty.ie.

Dear Breandán

I would like to see the introduction of a stand-alone Express Route Bus Service from UL to Arthurs Quay. Suggested stops would include (UL- Castletroy Park Hotel – TK Maxx – Parkview Apartments – LSAD Clare Street – Opera Centre – Arthurs Quay Park).
Many of the LSAD students who live in Park View have no choice but to walk to LSAD because bus journeys are full fare irrespective of commute length. Therefore, I would like to see a Touch ON / Touch OFF system put in place on this route as a pilot scheme to see how it would function.
The 304 route should focus solely on serving Castletroy. As many people who board in the 304 in the City Centre would rather get directly to Castletroy. Also think that bus frequency could be improved by shortening routes. Often 3 304 double deckers arrive in UL at the same time because the route is exceedingly long and the timetables are fixed rather than flexible.

Thanks for your great work

304 and 304a need to run more frequently, especially 304a.

Price increases are getting too much. 2euro should have been the limit for a journey within the city limits.

Run a night service till 2 or 3 am on thurs-Saturday

304 and 304a need to run more frequently.

304a needs more buses especially.

Stop increasing the price every 6 months.

Please put a sign up if the bus is full.

Put lights at the bus stops.

Have an infrequent but continuing service until 2am.
