Ireland needs a major city in the west to balance Dublin. With the proximity of Foynes port and Shannon Airport, and our position halfway between Galway and Cork, that city should be Limerick.
We should be planning for Limerick to grow. We should be planning for a Limerick with a population in the hundreds of thousands, all of whom will all need somewhere to live, somewhere to work, transport, water, electricity, heat, schools, parks, playgrounds, entertainment, shopping, and more. We need to plan now for the future Limerick we want.
